This strawberry banana smoothie is thick, creamy, and naturally sweet—perfect for healthy breakfast or a quick afternoon pick-me-up.

This strawberry banana smoothie is a go-to in my kitchen—just a few simple ingredients and ready in minutes. I use fresh bananas and frozen strawberries. They’re easy to keep on hand, and the frozen berries keep the smoothie thick and creamy without needing ice, which can water it down.

A little honey or maple syrup adds the right amount of sweetness, and you can use any milk you have—dairy, oat, almond, or whatever’s in the fridge. I’ll sometimes add a scoop of protein powder to make it more filling. Whether it’s breakfast or a quick afternoon snack, this strawberry banana smoothie always hits the spot.

What You’ll Need To Make strawberry banana smoothies

Ingredients for strawberry banana smoothieIngredients for strawberry banana smoothie
  • Banana: Adds natural sweetness and creaminess—frozen or fresh both work well.
  • Frozen Strawberries: Bring that classic berry flavor and help make the smoothie nice and thick. If you’re using fresh strawberries, reduce the milk to ¼ cup; you’ll also need to add a handful of ice cubes to chill the smoothie.
  • Greek Yogurt: Makes the smoothie creamy and adds a boost of protein. Any kind works, so use what you have.
  • Milk: Loosens things up so it blends smoothly—use any variety you like.
  • Honey: Just a touch of sweetness to balance the berries. Maple syrup works too.
